1 results foundAuthor: Cambium Advocacy Title: Inquiry into Human Trafficking in Scotland - Follow on Report Summary: The ‘Human Trafficking Inquiry Follow On’ report builds on the EHRC Scotland’s formal Inquiry of 2011, which looked at the nature and extent of human trafficking in Scotland, its underlying influences and causes, as well as how policy and practice needed to improve. The Inquiry made a series of ten recommendations designed to help develop and inform a response to human trafficking which was both strategic and comprehensive. One year on, this report looks at how far and how effectively the Scottish Government, law enforcement and prosecution services, victim support organisations, local authorities and the private sector have paid regard to the recommendations and where urgent attention is still needed. It sets out positive developments, highlighting where there has been progress, but also where further work needs to be done to meet the original recommendations.
